The Tempio product range consists of extruded, glazed and unglazed stoneware tiles for ventilated façade cladding. The range includes ceramic tiles belonging to groups AIb and AIIa, classified in accordance with EN 14411:2016 (equivalent to ISO 13006:2018). The water absorption is between 0.5% and 3% for group AIb and between 3% and 6% for group AIIa. The tiles are available in various models and sizes, with surface weights ranging from 19 kg/m² to 58 kg/m². The specific product assessed and declared in this EPD has a surface weight of 28.5 kg/m². The function of the product is to cover surfaces. In this study the environmental behavior of the stoneware extruded tiles coverings as ventilated external wall cladding. However, the versatility of these pieces allows them to be installed in other places, such as offices, shops, hospitals, etc., indoor and outdoor environments, as well as other surfaces. The Reference Service Life (RSL) of the product is the same as that of the building where it is installed. A Reference Service Life of 50 years has been considered, although the products manufactured and marketed by Cerámica Mayor and Tempio have a longer durability.
