SUMITAC PL-702
SUMITAC PL-702 is a high-quality phenol-formaldehyde resin adhesive specifically designed for manufacturing plywood and laminated veneer lumber (LVL).
This adhesive replaces a portion of phenol, a fossil resource-derived raw material that is considered to be subject to future depletion, with lignin, a non-edible biomass-derived raw material regarded as sustainably available.
In the manufacturing process of plywood and LVL, it can be used under the same processing conditions as conventional phenol-formaldehyde resin adhesives and demonstrates comparable bonding performance.
Furthermore, formaldehyde emissions, one of the causes of sick building syndrome, are reduced to an extremely low level, meeting the highest rating of F☆☆☆☆ under the JAS standard. In addition, lower formaldehyde emission levels can be expected compared with conventional products.
